Privacy Policy

What we collect

We keep data collection to an absolute minimum. We do not use advertising pixels or cookies of any kind. We do not operate a contact form — all communication happens via email at your initiative.

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how visitors use the site and to monitor page performance. These tools are privacy-focused: they do not set cookies, do not collect personal data, and do not track individual users across sessions. All data is aggregated and anonymous. The only personal data processed is server log data generated automatically when you visit the site. This may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. These logs are maintained by our hosting provider for operational and security purposes.

Local storage

The site may store a small preference flag (such as whether the intro animation has been shown) in your browser's session storage. This data never leaves your device, is automatically cleared when you close the tab, and is not accessible to us.

Third-party embeds

Some project pages may contain embedded video players from Vimeo. When you load a page with an embedded player, Vimeo may set cookies and process personal data according to their own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Vimeo's privacy policy for details.

Email communication

If you contact us at hello@yugenfilms.co, we process your email address and message content solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your information with third parties.

Legal basis

Server log processing is based on our legitimate interest in maintaining the security and availability of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Email correspondence is processed on the basis of your consent by initiating contact (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Data retention

Server logs are retained according to our hosting provider's standard retention period. Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of the communication.

Your rights
